Bicycle Rentals
Rent bicycles in Koh Lipe to explore beaches, villages, and jungle trails. Discover eco-friendly rental shops, routes, and tips for a leisurely ride.

With no cars and just 3.5 km from end to end, Koh Lipe is perfectly suited for cycling. Pedal along sandy paths shaded by coconut palms, coast between beaches, or weave through the village at your own pace. Affordable and eco-friendly, bicycles are an easy way for families and solo travellers alike to slow down and savour the island.
Where to Rent
Walking Street shops like Lipe Eco Bikes provide sturdy mountain bikes and even bamboo-framed cruisers from 100–200 THB per day, including baskets and locks. On Sunrise Beach, stalls near Serenity Resort rent colourful single-speeds for 80–150 THB per day. Many resorts also offer rentals, from Castaway Resort’s free guest bikes to Idyllic Concept’s premium hybrids with gears at around 250 THB, perfect for tackling Koh Adang trails. Most shops ask for a 500–1,000 THB cash deposit or a passport copy.
Routes to Try
The 4 km loop from Sunrise to Sunset Beach is flat and relaxed, with stops at Gipsy Cove for snorkelling and Pattaya Beach for coconut ice cream. For culture, cycle the short trail north to Chao Ley Village and watch Urak Lawoi fishers at work. Adventurers can follow the jungle track towards the Koh Adang ferry pier, best with hybrids, where views of Tarutao National Park open up dramatically.
Best Time to Cycle
Morning rides between 6 and 9 AM are ideal to avoid the midday heat and busier paths. Evenings can also be pleasant, though bike lights are essential after dark. Rainy days often bring discounts, and most shops allow rain checks or half-day refunds if showers cut a ride short.
Eco-Tips
Support eco-conscious providers like Lipe Eco Bikes, which funds beach cleanups. Always use refill stations along Walking Street instead of buying bottled water. Stick to marked paths to protect coastal vegetation and avoid cutting across dunes or grassy areas.
Costs and Essentials
Daily rentals range from 80–250 THB depending on the bike. Tandems and child seats are also available, making cycling accessible for families. Bring a reusable bottle, sunscreen, and a small towel for beach stops. Baskets or phone holders make carrying essentials easier. Helmets are usually included, but a bandana adds comfort and hygiene.
