Island-Hopping Tours

Sail to Koh Lipe’s untouched islands. Snorkel in turquoise lagoons, hike jungle trails, and unwind on pristine sands.

Koh Lipe is the starting point for exploring Tarutao National Marine Park, a protected area of 51 islands where emerald waters meet pristine beaches and jungle-clad cliffs. Island hopping here is more than sightseeing, it is a chance to discover hidden coves, snorkel colourful reefs, and enjoy beaches untouched by mass tourism.

Islands to Explore

The largest island, Koh Adang, offers jungle hikes and waterfalls. The short but steep climb to Chado Cliff rewards hikers with sweeping views of Koh Lipe’s turquoise bays, while Pirate Waterfall provides a shady place to cool off. Nearby, Koh Rawi is often called the “sleeping beauty” for its tranquil, white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. For something unique, Koh Hin Ngam is famous for its smooth black stones shaped by the waves. Local legend warns against taking them home, making photography the best souvenir.

Ask your guide about Koh Yang, a small island with a hidden lagoon that is ideal for snorkelling in peace.

Best Time to Visit

The best conditions for island hopping are between November and April, when calm seas and clear skies create perfect conditions. From May to October, tours usually visit sheltered spots such as Koh Khai, where the water remains gentle despite the monsoon season.

Eco-Tips

Choose eco-conscious operators like Adang Sea Tour or Lipe Travel, which keep groups small to protect the reefs. Carry reusable bottles and containers to reduce waste, and always use reef-safe sunscreen. Park fees directly support conservation, so pay them with pride knowing they help fund coral restoration and ranger patrols.

Confirm whether the park fee (300 THB for adults, 150 THB for children) is included in your tour to avoid hidden costs.

Costs and Tours

Group tours cost between 500 and 800 THB per person, including lunch, snorkelling gear, and park fees with most operators. For flexibility, a private longtail boat charter starts at 2,500 THB per day, allowing you to customise your stops and pace.
