Snorkelling
Discover where to snorkel in Koh Lipe, Thailand. Swim with clownfish, explore hidden bays, and support eco-friendly tours.

Koh Lipe is one of Thailand’s most stunning snorkelling destinations, located within the Tarutao National Marine Park. Surrounded by turquoise waters and vibrant coral reefs, the island offers easy access to marine life right from the shore, as well as exciting boat trips to nearby islands.
Snorkelling Spots
You can snorkel straight off the beaches at Pattaya, Sunrise, and Sunset, where colourful fish and corals thrive just metres from the sand. For a fuller experience, join a boat tour to explore famous spots like Koh Hin Ngam, Koh Rawi, and Koh Adang, each offering unique reefs, clear water, and abundant marine life.
Best Time to Visit
The ideal season is November to April, when the seas are calm and visibility is excellent. From May to October, the monsoon brings stronger waves and limited boat services, but you can still enjoy shore snorkelling on calmer days.
Eco-Tips
Koh Lipe is part of a protected marine park. Always use reef-safe sunscreen, avoid touching coral, and never collect shells or marine life. Responsible snorkelling helps preserve the island’s beauty for future visitors.
Costs and Tours
Snorkelling tours usually range from THB 500 to THB 1,200 per person, depending on the number of islands visited and whether lunch is included. Equipment hire is available on the island if you don’t bring your own.
